Is PNG Cut really free?
Yes. There is no login, subscription, API key, watermark, or download limit built into PNG Cut.
Does my image get uploaded?
No. Background removal runs locally in your browser. Your image is held only in browser memory and is cleared when you start again or leave the page.
Why can the first image take longer?
The first visit prepares the open-source AI model. It is then cached, so later images can use WebGPU acceleration immediately on supported Chrome devices.
Can I remove multiple backgrounds together?
Yes. Switch to Bulk mode, choose up to 20 images, and download every finished transparent PNG in one ZIP.
Will the downloaded PNG keep its resolution?
Yes. PNG Cut edits and exports at the processed image’s original pixel dimensions, even when the on-screen preview is zoomed.
Which files are supported?
JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WEBP files up to 15 MB are supported. Animated images are not supported.
